I received the Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from ELTE, the Budapest University of Science (Hungary)
in 1998. My thesis was concerned with the numerical computation of radial
wave functions by amplitude-phase methods. After one-year research
at SZTAKI, the Computer and Automation Research Institute in Budapest, I returned to Vietnam and acted as an
assistant professor of the Department of Mathematics, Mechanics, and Informatics, Vietnam
National University at Hanoi. In 2007, I was promoted to be Associate Professor. In 2008, I received a Humboldt Research Fellowship (for experienced researchers). My research interests are qualitative theory and numerical analysis of ordinary differential equations and differential-algebraic equations. Recently I have been focusing on stability and robust stability of differential-algebraic equations and implicit dynamical systems. In the latest years I spent several research visits to the Computer and Automation Research Institute, Budapest (Hungary), International Center for Theoretical Physics, Trieste (Italy), Technical University in Berlin (Germany), UCSB, Santa Barbara (USA), and North Carolina State University, Raleigh (USA).
